K9 Nose Work is the next great sport for you and your dog! It was started in 2006 in Southern California by a group of highly seasoned trainer/handlers working with certified detection dogs. They saw how relaxed and satisfied their dogs looked after a search and thought it would be wonderful for all dogs to be able to share the experience. They put together the essential elements of detection dog training into a motivational sport that is a positive outlet for all dogs.
K9 Nose Work is based on the premise that all dogs have a phenomenal sense of smell and a natural curiosity to hunt for things. The sport of K9 Nose Work is designed to develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It's a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn up lots of mental and physical energy. K9 Nose Work builds a positive working relationship with you and your dog.

Classes are taught by Lil Clark, CPDT who has had the opportunity to learn from the founders of the sport.
Open to all dogs (except those with aggression toward people).
